Q3-Schoonmaak is your specialist in the field of floor cleaning and floor maintenance of all types of floors. The floors in your office building are subjected to a different load than, for example, at an educational institution, and this logically requires different floor maintenance.
We carry out the daily maintenance thoroughly for you according to the agreed cleaning program. In addition, periodic maintenance is of course also very important. For example, this could include doing a stain round on carpet or scrubbing a stone floor or buffing a linoleum floor. The frequency of floor maintenance is also very important for extending the life of your floor finish. Floor maintenance can consist of treating a wooden floor, stripping and preserving a linoleum floor or impregnating your natural stone floor. In this way we ensure that your floor stays beautiful and fresh for longer.
The minor maintenance of a linoleum floor consists of sweeping and then mopping the floor, so that it is clean and fresh again.
Major maintenance of a linoleum floor consists of stripping (i.e. removing the old wax layer with a chemical solvent) and reapplying two layers of wax/polymer. If desired, this wax layer can be finished in a satin or high gloss finish.
The periodic maintenance of the linoleum floor consists of so-called blocking of the wax layer. This is the polishing of the existing wax by rubbing over the wax layer with a single-disc machine at high speed. This temporarily camouflages worn spots in the wax layer.
The maintenance of a natural stone floor, such as a marble floor, travertine, limestone or granite, can be carried out in various ways. The basic maintenance of natural stone floors is with the single-disc machine, so that the floor is nice and clean and fresh again. You can then opt for one of the following advanced maintenance methods for natural stone floors.
Crystallizing a natural stone floor is also called vitrification and consists of applying a glossy layer over a calcareous floor. The top layer is compacted, creating a beautiful satin sheen on the floor. The floor is also hard again after the treatment and offers protection against dirt and stains.
As with crystallization, this maintenance technique compacts the top layer of the floor, but now a high-gloss layer is created.
If a natural stone floor contains many scratches, crystallization or mineralization alone will not be sufficient. In that case we will first have the floor ground and polished. In this process, a thin top layer is ground off the floor to create a new scratch-free layer. After the floor has been ground and polished, it will still have to be crystallized or impregnated so that the floor is protected again.
By impregnating the natural stone floor, the floor is sealed so that it is less subject to wear and tear and will also be moisture-repellent.
Depending on the degree of soiling of the carpet, different cleaning techniques are possible. We will always determine the right cleaning technique for your carpet in consultation with you. The basic maintenance of a carpet floor is of course vacuuming. You can then opt for one of the advanced maintenance methods below.
This is a method in which pressurized water is injected into the carpet and immediately sucked up again. Large amounts of dirt and bacteria can be removed from the carpet using this method. It is the best method to combat heavy pollution.
Carpet powder cleaning is a dry process in which powder is sprinkled over the carpet, after which it is mechanically brushed. The dirt is absorbed by the powder, after which the powder is sucked up again with a vacuum cleaner that is also equipped with a brush.
With carpet receipt cleaning, the carpet is pre-sprayed with a special cleaning agent. The carpet is then cleaned with a single-disc machine. With this method, very little moisture is used, so that the carpet dries quickly and can therefore be walked on again.
In all cases, we advise you to have your carpet impregnated after cleaning. This prevents rapid re-soiling.
Of course you can also have a completely closed floor. This is a floor that is pore-tight, so that liquids cannot penetrate the floor. A tile floor is a good example of such a floor. Tile floors are easy to maintain with a vacuum cleaner and for heavily soiled work and for a smooth finish with a scrubbing machine.
A synthetic cast floor is just like a tile floor, a completely closed floor. This is a floor that is pore-tight, so that liquids cannot penetrate the floor. Cast floors are easy to maintain with a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush and we use special cast floor cleaning agent for heavily soiled work, so that we do not affect the top layer of the cast floor.
